WYSIGASP: web content management for the easily bored
WYSIGASP (What You See Is Good As a Starting Point)
Welcome to the home of WYSIGASP, a Perl system to
facilitate web content management for the easily bored (it was
previously known as WebSite::WYSIGASP).
There is an
article I wrote about WYSIGASP at the end of 2000 on
O'Reilly's web site.
The showcase site for WYSIGASP is NHBS, the natural history,
environment and science online bookstore.
The current code is available as a gzip'ed tar file. Note that
this module works for us and for our clients, but really needs to
be tidied up before it is ready for general release. I would
welcome any comments on the code and the ideas behind it.
At the end of 2001 I started using Template Toolkit, and I am
no longer actively maintaining WYSIGASP. I plan to develop some
plug-ins for Template Toolkit that make use of WYSIGASP.
