NCSA server

No options are required on the command line when starting the NCSA server, if the server root directory and configuration file are in the standard locations. The syntax of the NCSA server command line is:

  httpd [-option ... ]

The following options are accepted:

-d dir
Specifies the server root directory. This can be overridden with the ServerRoot directive in the server configuration file.

-f file
Specifies the pathname of the server configuration file (only required if the configuration file is not in the standard location).

-v
Prints the name and version information of the server and then exits.
