Software and HTML resource guides

The World Wide Web Project page at CERN:

http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject

is an extremely useful page, with links to documents on a wide range of Web-related topics, including background material, conference proceedings and future developments, as well as information on HTML and Web software. The list of software resources maintained at CERN covers server and browser software, HTML editors and validation software, text conversion utilities, and so on, and can be reached by a link from the Project page, or directly:

http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/Tools/Overview.html

This in turn contains links to many other documents covering individual software tools in greater detail.

There are several other Web pages containing frequently-updated lists of tools for converting between different text formats:

http://oneworld.wa.com/htmldev/devpage/dev-page.html

http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SDG/Software/Mosaic/Docs/faq-software.html

Cyberweb Software provide an on-line resource guide covering topics such as HTML, the CGI, images and Web development tools:

http://www.charm.net/~web/

The NCSA Mosaic home page also provides links to various software and HTML guides:
