Planning aspects

Various factors, such as the size and type of the organization, whether it is already connected to the Internet, whether it runs internal networks and, perhaps most significantly, what the organization hopes to achieve by running the Web site, will combine to influence strategy for implementing a Web server. All these things will need to be taken into consideration when making decisions about the allocation of resources: hardware requirements, staffing levels, connectivity, security and the level of backup needed.
